About Madeline Rosenberg, the Liminal Sage

I have been working as an animal doula for almost twenty years. My primary instruction has come through experiential work with a variety of species; I’ve also been mentored by veterinarians, nurses, holistic healers, and other professionals. Those mentorships are integral not only to my work but to my self-care.

I took degree studies in biology, comparative theology, and veterinary sciences. I am a certified yoga instructor, a farmer, and am currently attending seminary for my Masters in Judaic Studies and rabbinic ordination. My work as a shepherdess informs my practice as an end of life doula because I am centered in the cycle of life and death every day.

Palliative care for animals is much broader than for people and allows me greater latitude in supporting clients. I offer services ranging from pet parent counseling, animal communication, and spiritual support to practical things like creating golden memories, supporting life-shortening conditions with herbal and holistic methods, and end of life stress management. My goal is to help you create a loving, peaceful environment to support your non-human family member through the liminal time before and during their transition, and to support you in your process from diagnosis through grief.
